Classical Cellarette
Probably New York area, ca. 1830-1840
Mahogany, figured crotch-mahogany veneer, poplar secondary wood, lead liner.
Over-all in great condition, including original liner, minor imperfections (see full condition report).
Provenance: From a prominent North Shore family, Massachusetts; Eldred's Auctions, East Dennis, Massachusetts.
This is one of the most elegant and elaborately carved, American cellarettes we have seen.
