Pair of Chinese Unglazed Pottery Warriors
Northern Wei Dynasty, ca: 5th/ 6th century AD
Height: 14.3 inches
Finely modeled and posed standing at attention. Though of almost identical form, their faces display remarkable individual personalities: one with a friendly, smiling expression; the other with an expression suggesting boredom, with his cheeks puffed out and neutral gaze.
